About the Author

Antonio Nieto-Rodriguez graduated in Economics at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and started his professional career as Business Analyst at Unisys ESSC. He moved to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) after acquiring just over two years of work experience. At PwC, where he worked for over ten years, he became global lead practitioner for the Project and Portfolio Management practice. From PwC he moved to Fort Bank where he headed up the Post Merger Integration division. Here he was involved in the merger with ABN AMBRO. He currently works for BNP Paribas Fortis as Head of Transversal Portfolio Management which deals with the prioritization, the selection and execution of all of the large strategic projects of the company. He is an expert in strategy execution and project management. Antonio Nieto-Rodriguez is also a visiting professor in Solvay and Nyenrode Business Schools where he teaches strategy execution and program management to MBA students. As a founder member of the PMI European Corporate Council he is a high-profile supporter of his profession. He also started the LinkedIn group StrateXecution –¬†Strategy Execution with Project, Program and Portfolio Management which currently boast 3 671 members working in the project management or allied professions. He is an active speaker and highly respected presenter at seminars and conferences on strategy execution and project management. Spanish is his home language but he is equally fluent in English having attained his MBA at the London Business School. He also has a professional working proficiency of French and Italian and limited working proficiency of Dutch and German.
